Wendel & Kurt -

Wow!

That three-letter word is all that’s required to describe the experience that Jeff and I had at Crow Rock Lodge last week. The facilities and food were great, the management and staff were pleasant and professional, and guide Brad was a terrific guy who consistently put us on trophy fish. Also impressive were the number of guests that had been to Crow Rock numerous times, some of them over the course of decades. That says a lot. My only regret is that I’d never visited Crow Rock before — but I will be back.

Attached are pictures of the 34″ trophy walleye that I was fortunate enough to catch. You can see on the shot of the tape measure that it’s well beyond the 33″ inch mark, even though it’s a bad angle. The fish was so large that my camera lens wasn’t wide enough to picture the whole beast from tail to lip over Brad’s shoulders! Man, what an experience!

Again, I want to thank you guys and everyone at Crow Rock for an experience that I’ll never forget. And you can be sure that I’ll be recommending your camp to anyone I know who might be thinking about a fishing adventure in Canada. I hope your summer goes well.

Regards,

Here are a couple of photos:

In the first one, I caught this 43” muskie on my third cast (yes I know, I owe another 9,997 more casts to catch #2). Thank you guide Carl.

The second was my biggest walleye ever

In the third photo, this is a 38” pike caught on a fly (kudos to guide Brad)

I caught my biggest muskie ever that week, my biggest walleve ever, my biggest lake trout (34”) and my biggest smallmouth on a fly. What can I say?

Great food, great facilities, great guides, great fishery, at a reasonable price. Needless to say, we will be back.

Hope you have a great season and we’ll connect next June.

Hopefully it is big enough to make the picture Wall of Fame. Should I print and mail it for the picture wall? Carl has a picture of it as well on his camera.

Thanks for the wonderful memories with my high school graduate Son who is heading off to college this fall.

We are already dreaming of the return trip sometime in the future. Just trying to balance the dream with the college expenses.

Thanks for the e-mail. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the fishing,
the lodge and the staff at Crow Rock. I have fished at many places around

memorable. I am very much looking forward to a return trip as soon as
possible.

I am attaching pictures of the pike and the walleye to this e-mail. I
